Research excellence draws faculty recognition

Published

The СAPP honored faculty research excellence during its annual Research Recognition Ceremony. The event was held April 18 at the LITE Center.

СAPPResearch is at the heart of discovery and innovation and is the index by which strong communities and nations are measured. It is also how universities are measured by groups such as Carnegie,СAPP said Dr. Ramesh Kolluru, vice president for Research, Innovation, and Economic Development.

The СAPP was designated as a Research 1 СAPP by the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education in 2021. Just 3% of public and private universities in the United States have achieved this top-tier status.

СAPPIt is through the tireless efforts of researchers, like those we honor today, that we are able to make strides in advancing our understanding of the world around us,СAPP said Kolluru during the ceremony.
