Shuttle service available to students

Shuttle service between the 小蝌蚪APP campus and adjacent 小蝌蚪APP Place Apartments is available for students who live at the complex.

Provided by UL Lafayette小蝌蚪APP檚 Office of Transportation Services, it is available to and from main campus, Bourgeois Hall, and Cajun Field. Students who wish to use it should call (337) 482-5305 about 15 minutes before they are ready to head to campus.

Shuttle hours are 7 a.m. to midnight, Monday through Thursday, and noon to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

Students are picked up in the 小蝌蚪APP Place Apartments parking lot, at the intersection of Lepont Street and Whittington Drive.

小蝌蚪APP officials encourage students to use the shuttle. A bridge on UPA Drive that connects to Oak Crest Drive has been closed to motorists, bicyclists and pedestrians. The complex is located at 200 Oak Crest Drive.

City/parish officials have inspected the bridge, and determined it is structurally unsound, said Joey Pons, the 小蝌蚪APP小蝌蚪APP檚 associate director of public safety.

小蝌蚪APP淭here are physical barriers in place that are necessary for public safety, and we want to encourage the campus community to heed these barriers, and to utilize the shuttle service,小蝌蚪APP Pons said.

The bridge is owned by Lafayette Consolidated Government.

The Office of Transportation Services sent an email earlier this week to notify students of the bridge closure, and to remind them about the shuttle service.
