Summer 2023 Commencement set for Friday, Aug. 4, at Cajundome

The Сòòò½APP will confer undergraduate, masterСòòò½APP™s and doctoral degrees on Friday, Aug. 4, during Summer 2023 Commencement.

The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. in the Cajundome. Tickets arenСòòò½APP™t required.

Graduates and guests should . Accommodations will be available for graduates or guests with disabilities.

Commencement speaker will be the College of Education & Human DevelopmentСòòò½APP™s Dr. Aimee Barber. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Curriculum & Instruction.

Among BarberСòòò½APP™s many research interests are examining ways college educators can help future elementary school teachers identify inequities and influence policy once they enter the classroom. Another key research interest is merging language arts instruction with STEAM subjects Сòòò½APP“ Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics.

Security measures will be in place at the Cajundome. Сòòò½APP Police will examine the contents of all purses, bags and packages. Guests will be permitted to carry the following items into the Cajundome:

  • a small purse or clutch 6.5 inches by 4.5 inches;
  • a one-gallon clear plastic storage bag;
  • a clear bag no bigger than 12 inches by 12 inches by 6 inches;
  • an equipment bag for essential medical items;
  • a diaper bag;
  • binoculars in a clear bag or in a case of the same dimensions as purses.

Balloons, signs, wrapped gifts or other large items wonСòòò½APP™t be allowed.
