小蝌蚪APP, city welcome international students

Charlotte Beaubeau, of France, will begin pursuing her doctoral degree in Francophone studies this semester at the 小蝌蚪APP.

It小蝌蚪APP檚 a decision she made, in part, after she was 小蝌蚪APP渞eally charmed by Louisiana小蝌蚪APP during a visit here two years ago.

小蝌蚪APP淚 thought, 小蝌蚪APP榃hat a great place to learn and experience Francophone culture,小蝌蚪APP she explained at Monday小蝌蚪APP檚 UL Lafayette International Students Welcome and Reception.

Beaubeau was among more than 100 students and 小蝌蚪APP and civic officials who attended the event at the Lafayette Consolidated Government building.

Dr. Joseph Savoie, UL Lafayette president, thanked students for choosing UL Lafayette, a place where they will receive an education and 小蝌蚪APP渂roaden their horizons and opportunities,小蝌蚪APP while helping the community 小蝌蚪APP渓earn things about the world.小蝌蚪APP

小蝌蚪APP淗opefully, we will learn much from each other,小蝌蚪APP Savoie said.

Rose Honneger, director of the Office of International Affairs at UL Lafayette, said the welcome reception is one of many activities designed to help students get acclimated to the 小蝌蚪APP and the community.

Joey Durel, city-parish president, also thanked international students for deciding to attend college in Lafayette. He predicted some students will end up settling in Acadiana. 小蝌蚪APP淗opefullly, when you (graduate), we小蝌蚪APP檒l keep you,小蝌蚪APP he said.
