���APP�Sociology looks at societies as a whole, and how people interact with one another in the communities they have created. I see my minor in gender and sexuality studies as a way to dive deeper and look at two minority groups that have grown stronger throughout our history by supporting others who have faced the same struggles.���APP�

���APP�My experience at UL Lafayette has helped me apply my Spanish skills within a global company. The creative perspective I gained from these classes is something I apply to projects I manage today at Apple.���APP�

���APP�UL Lafayette prides itself on being open to other cultures and communities. I had professors from France, Italy, India, and South Korea. These were important experiences to my development as a young adult and ultimately as a professional.���APP�

���APP�The medieval and early modern studies minor is cross-disciplinary in nature, covering classes in philosophy, humanities, English, history, theatre, arts, music, and others, which makes this minor exactly what I needed.���APP�

���APP�The idea that I would get to study so intensely the subjects and questions that flooded my mind daily ���APP� how to govern a society, what kinds of governments certain societies favor, how specific policies affect these societies, and the philosophies behind those policies ���APP� I couldn���APP�t wait to enroll and begin my journey with higher education in this department.���APP�

���APP�I���APP�ve always loved hearing and telling stories. It���APP�s manifested itself in my art, my stand-up comedy, and my love of reading and writing. The creative writing program at UL Lafayette allows me to take my love of stories and turn it into a degree.���APP�

���APP�Not only has my experience in the psychology department helped me to understand people with intellectual disabilities, but it has also taught me that my educational background in psychology can be applied anywhere, especially in the realm of teaching.���APP�

���APP�I strongly believe that a liberal arts degree is incredibly important. It helps you see things critically and let you think across all disciplines, a skill which comes in handy throughout life.���APP�
